The initial registration period for 2024 H-1B cap closes at 12 pm EST on March 17th. Registrations can be completed and submitted using the USCIS online H-1B registration system.

Immigrant visas for preference relatives are numerically limited each fiscal year. Therefore, some family preference relatives must wait in what is known as the visa queue for a visa to become available.

The USCIS is extending the validity of green cards for petitioners who properly file Form I-751 or Form I-829 for 48 months beyond the card’s expiration date.
