Triangle of Success

April 26th, 2024 | lawyerlife

According to Reid Trautz, Senior Director of the Practice & Professionalism Center, lawyers must balance the following 3 roles to be more efficient and productive:
.
Lawyer
Manager
Entrepreneur
.
As a lawyer, we need to competently perform the legal work that clients hire us to do. As a manager, we need to control our workflow and clients to ensure efficient processing. As an entrepreneur, we need to organize, manage, and handle business development.
.
My favorite role is the Entrepreneur. I love organizing and researching ways to make my business more streamlined and efficient. What do you think your “Triangle of Success” looks like?’

Fall Office Hours

September 2nd, 2022 | lawyerlife

School is back… and so are my “mom hours”!
.
Beginning next week my office hours will be M-F, 10-2:30. I make work/life balance a huge priority. If I am not answering the phone after hours, it is because I am spending some time with my little ones.

Profession is not Personality

August 24th, 2022 | lawyerlife

I recently listened to a podcast on NPR which talked about how a profession does not dictate your personality. I am not a typical lawyer. Some of my clients meet me and expect black suits, exuberant language, etc. I’m not like that at all. I wear shorts, t-shirts, and flip-flops most days and can walk clients through the process as easy as I can guide my children up the swing-set safely! So here is your reminder that it is okay to let your personality shine!
