#USCISNews: In a significant move, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced that it will now be screening the social media activity of aliens applying for immigration benefits, focusing specifically on antisemitic content and harassment. This new policy is a direct response to President Trump’s executive orders aimed at combating antisemitism and protecting the U.S. from individuals who may pose a threat due to extremist or violent ideologies.

USCIS – FY 2026 H-1B Visas

#USCISNews: The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) just announced that it has completed the initial registration selection process for the FY 2026 H-1B visa.

This means that employers who registered applicants for the H-1B visa lottery will now know whether their registrations were selected.

For those whose registrations that were selected, submission of the formal H-1B petitions may begin on April 1, 2025.

N-400 Denials – What to do Next

N-400 denials can occur. If your N-400 application is denied, you have the option to ask for a hearing with a USCIS officer by submitting Form N-336, Request for a Hearing on a Decision in Naturalization Proceedings, within 30 days from the date of the decision.

On January 20, 2025, Executive Order 14159 was issued, reinforcing the requirement for all individuals 14+ years old who are in the U.S. for 30 days or longer to register with the government and be fingerprinted, if necessary. Parents and guardians should ensure those under 14 are registered. Non-compliance may result in civil and criminal consequences.
