Houses Passes American Dream and Promise Act

On June 4, 2019, the House of Representatives passed the American Dream and Promise Act of 2019 (H.R. 6).

The bill would provide protection from deportation and a path to citizenship to over 2 million Dreamers and Temporary Protected Status as well as Deferred Enforced Departure recipients.

The American Immigration Lawyer’s Association Associate Director of Government Relations, Kate Voigt, discusses the significance of this landmark bill.
