By Dayna Lally, Esq.

August 19, 2019

The American Immigration Lawyer’s Association was made aware during the Department of State Liaison Committee’s August 2019 monthly check-in with Charlie Oppenheim that the entire EB-3 category has immediately been made “unavailable” for the remainder of fiscal year 2019.

This means that the annual limits have been reached in all EB-3 categories and additional numbers are thus unavailable until the beginning of the next fiscal year.

The USCIS has a 12-month fiscal year which begins on October 1 of each year and ends on September 30 of the following year.
