Intentionally putting wellness on your “to-do” list increases productivity!
.
The American Immigration Lawyers Association (“AILA”) recently reposted a video of Ritu Goswamy, an AILA member and productivity consultant for lawyers, which identifies three wellness tips for increased productivity:
.
1. Take an actual lunch break;
2. Connect with nature; and
3. Move your body.
.
I have incorporated 2 out of the 3 suggestions. I do intermittent fasting from 8pm – 3/4pm (so, no actual lunch break). I strictly follow a modified version of “The Amazing Day” schedule from “The 5am Club,” which consists of the 90/90/1 rule, the 60/10 method, and the second wind workout (“2WW”).
.
Do you intentionally put wellness on your daily “to-do” list? If so, what’s your strategy for feeling good?

I was recently reading an article featured by American Immigration Lawyers Association on 31 ways to attack procrastination and change your mindset in regards to starting and completing challenging tasks. The article featured this quote by Sigmund Freud that stood out.

I read books every day, throughout the day, on self-help, personal development, business development, etc. I absolutely love them. It is my way of finding inspiration for all aspects of my life. What is your go-to way to seek inspiration?

Exciting news for naturalization applicants! Applicants filing Form N-400 can now request an original or replacement Social Security number (SSN) or card and update their immigration status with the Social Security Administration (SSA) without visiting an SSA office. This new option, available in the 04/01/24 edition of the form, streamlines the process for new citizens, eliminating the need for a separate SSA visit.

Create an online USCIS Account
.
I highly recommend that clients create a USCIS online account (if/when possible). Creating a USCIS online account enables clients to obtain case status updates and access electronic copies of every notice issued by the USCIS in one, secure location. The electronic copies are generally available long before I receive the physical copies of the same correspondence.
