The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services recently indicated that applicants seeking to file a green card application based on a family-sponsored petition must use the Dates for Filing chart in the Department of State Visa Bulletin for August 2019

In the F2A category, there is a cutoff date on the Dates for Filing chart. However, the category is “current” on the Final Action Dates chart. This means that applicants in the F2A category may file using the Final Action Dates chart for August 2019.

Employment-based preference filings must use the Final Action Dates chart in the Department of State Visa Bulletin for August 2019.

If you would like further instructions on how to read the Department of State Visa Bulletin, or would like to file a green card application based on a family-sponsored or employment-based petition, contact Lally Immigration Services, LLC at (617) 870-1000 or by email to [email protected].

We offer 24-hour response times, reasonable fees, and payment plans.
