USIS New Policy on Adjustment of Status

USCIS announced a new policy memo stating that adjustment of status, the process of applying for a green card from within the United States, will be granted only in extraordinary circumstances. The memo states that consular processing through the Department of State outside the U.S. will be the standard pathway, with officers directed to review applications on a case-by-case basis using all relevant factors and information.
