On December 6, 2019, the USCIS announced that it completed a successful pilot testing of the electronic registration process for the next H-1B cap season.

Employers seeking to file H-1B cap-subject petitions in fiscal year 2021 will now pay a $10 registration fee and submit only basic information about their company and each requested worker.

The USCIS has indicated that it will post step-by-step instructions on how to complete the registration process when the initial registration period, March 1 – March 20, 2020, nears.
