USCIS Interview Questions

USCIS Interview Questions

Recently, an interviewing officer at the USCIS Boston Field Office posed some unexpectedly detailed questions to assess the genuineness of my client’s relationships.

Among the questions were:
What kind of stove do you have – gas or electric?
Who sleeps closer to the window?
Who sleeps closer to the door?

These seemingly simple questions can test your knowledge of everyday details in your shared life. While they might seem trivial, they play a role in assessing the depth of your relationship. The officer’s line of questioning highlights the importance of being prepared for anything during the interview.

What is Visa Retrogression?

What is Visa Retrogression?

Visa retrogression occurs when more people apply for an immigrant visa in a particular category than there are immigrant visas available for that month. In these circumstances, the cut-off date on the Visa Bulletin moves backward to an earlier date.
.
Visa retrogression may further impact the processing time of immigrant visa petitions.
