Is there any way to expedite the biometrics process?

Yes, the USCIS is considering expedite requests if an applicant meets one or more of the following criteria:

  • Adoption cases with an urgent need to bring child into the United States;
  • Medical personnel who need to have their application completed in order to work;
  • Military personnel with deployment orders or notification from their chain of command;
  • Naturalization applicants who live overseas and travel back the United States following a refusal of the DOS to capture fingerprints;
  • Emergency advance parole requests where CPMS cannot be used to verify identity;
  • DACA applicants;
  • Unaccompanied alien children in vulnerable circumstances;
  • Mandamus cases; or
  • General applicants with severe medical issues that require urgent case resolution; and NACARA applicants.

How to Make an Expedite Request – USCIS Biometrics

The USCIS considers all expedite requests on a case-by-base basis.[ii] You can generally request expedited processing by contacting the USCIS Contact Center at 1-800-375-5283. When calling the USCIS, have the following information available.
