EB-4 Religious Worker Adjustment of Status Approved Following USCIS Policy Memo

We are pleased to share another successful outcome for one of our clients seeking permanent residence as a Special Immigrant Religious Worker (Minister) under the EB-4 category.

This case is particularly noteworthy because the client’s Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, was approved after the May 22, 2026 USCIS Policy Memorandum regarding Adjustment of Status adjudications.

Case Timeline

  • 04/07/2021 – Form I-360 filed
  • 03/23/2022 – Form I-360 approved (Class: SD6, Special Immigrant Religious Worker – Minister)
  • 02/22/2023 – Form I-485 filed
  • 10/13/2023 – Employment Authorization Document (EAD) and Advance Parole (AP) approved
  • 12/11/2024 – Request for Evidence (RFE) issued for updated medical examination
  • 04/28/2026 – Request for Evidence (RFE) issued for a job offer letter
  • 06/05/2026 – Form I-485 approved

This approval demonstrates that religious workers with long-pending adjustment applications can still achieve successful outcomes, even when USCIS issues additional requests for evidence late in the process.

At Lally Immigration, we understand the unique challenges faced by religious workers, ministers, and their sponsoring organizations. Our team carefully guides clients through every stage of the process from immigrant petition filing through adjustment of status and final green card approval.

Our clients consistently praise our communication, organization, and attention to detail, and we are honored by the trust they place in us throughout their immigration journeys. Read our client success stories and reviews on our Testimonials page: Client Testimonials.
