Difference Between Final Action Dates and Dates for Filing
By: Dayna Lally, Esq.[i]
What is the difference between Final Action Dates and Dates for Filing in the Visa Bulletin?
The Final Action Date is the dates when visas may finally be issued.[ii] The Dates for Filing is the earliest date when applicants may be able to apply for adjustment of status.[iii]
Each month, the U.S. Department of State publishes the Final Action Date and Dates for Filing charts in the Visa Bulletin.[iv]
