CBP Enforcement Statistics FY 2019

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (“CBP”) recently released its enforcement statistics for FY 2019.

The summary of the CBP enforcement actions indicates that CBP found inadmissible 211,697 individuals encountered at ports of entry who were seeking lawful admission into the United States (among others) between October 1, 2018 and June 30, 2019.

The summary also indicates that CBP physically controlled or temporarily detained 905,926 unlawfully present people during the same time frame.
