USCIS has received enough petitions to fill both the 65,000 regular H-1B visa cap and the 20,000 U.S. master’s cap. This means employers can no longer submit new cap-subject H-1B petitions for FY 2027, though USCIS will continue processing petitions that were already filed. Cap-exempt H-1B petitions, including those filed by qualifying employers, are not affected
