If you’re planning to apply for naturalization using Form N-400, now is the time!!

What’s Changing with the 2025 Civics Test

  • You’ll be tested on a defined list of 128 questions (as opposed to 100).
  • You must answer 12 questions correctly (as opposed to 6).

Why Filing Before the New Law Takes Effect Might Be a Smart Move

If your application is already in the works, or you can finish gathering everything you need now, filing before the new law takes effect could be advantageous.

For example:

  • You’ll be under the old rules (if they are more favorable in your specific case).
  • Less uncertainty – you know exactly what rules you’re up against.
  • Avoid possible delays or confusion caused by adaptation to the new policies.
